How can I decorate my bedroom?
I am in gr.8 and I was thinking of some ideas for my room. I want to decorate it over the summer, and I wanted some ideas on how to do that. I am going to paint my room with lots of colors. One wall will be a light green, another will be an electric blue, the third will be a strawberry reddish pink and the last will be light purple. I am a girl, by the way.
I wanted decoration ideas like unique ways of lighting, maybe ideas for art or posters or borders, or just ways of livening it up.
My room is medium size, a little on the small side though. My furniture is: a single bed, two desks, one dresser and two 5 shelf storage thingys like just lots of shelves stacked up.
Please give me some cool, fun, cute Unique ways of decoration.
The colours you picked sound awesome!
If you have the possibility of ceiling lighting, try funky chandeliers or get vintage ones and spray paint them any colour you like. Gold, black, and white look really good, but bold colours make for a really cool effect.
I’m redoing my room as well, and I just bought this huge picture frame with many little squares to put pics in, and trust me, just having tons of pictures of myself with friends or family really adds tons of personalization. If you’re into art, buy a print from your favourite artist or order one from freelance artists on deviantart.com. You can even make something yourself, if you’re into it.
Buy some cool interior design magazines and bookmark the stuff and ideas that you like to keep track or check out wakeupfrankie.com, they have some really fun stuff for not that expensive.
Urban Outfitters has some cool stuff too, like funky art and lighting and stuff. I’m inviting my best friend and she’ll come and repaint my room with me. Haha, I always feel better in a room knowing that I painted it myself!
