manga art markers
What type of “media” should I use for drawing and coloring mainly anime/manga?

I may have worded the question in a vague way, but I need to know what would be a good media for art – like markers, colored pencils, watercolor…
I found that I get annoyed with the texture of colored pencils, so I’m hesitant in using that. I saw a lot of excellent works at deviantart.com with markers, but mainly copic ones which are kind of outside how much I want to spend. And I’m not too good with watercolor when it comes to precision…
So is there some specific material that I should use for coloring what I do, that isn’t expensive? I’m open for media suggestions that will require some patience to practice with.

haha, that guy was a dick :)

Copics are great, but they are in no way affordable. If you enjoy using pencils but aren’t so keen on the texture, you could always give watercolour pencils a go.

I actually got a tablet recently so that I can colour my anime.manga illustrations digitally. It’s really satisfying and looks great too. The tablet was only sixty quid, so probs about $100? And I downloaded photoshop from the internet for free!

Good luck!
