What is a good brand for airbrush kits used for art work?
My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up and also our anniversary. There is nothing I can come up with to buy him for his birthday but an airbrush kit. But can someone help me decide on what to get him specifically? I have no clue how to choose one that’s good and what’s best for him. He is an artist always painting or drawing designs for an underground clothing line but I don’t want to get him an airbrush kit only used for clothing because most of his artwork is on paper. So I’m guessing being able to find a kit that is great with details would be key. Also, where would I be able to buy it? I know nothing about airbrushing nor do I understand what an artist looks for when buying their equipment, that’s why I really need help. I don’t want to buy one that is too pricey, after all its only a birthday gift but I want it good enough where he doesn’t go out and buy a better one, you know? Anyways can someone help me?

Harder & Steenbeck Infinity 2-in 1 or Infinity Solo. Not exactly cheap at $199-$250 but a far better value than similarly featured Iwata brushes. Great piece for the $$$ It is expandable and should be the only AB ever needed.

If that’s too much, Badger Renegade Velocity is a terrific detail brush (less versatile) for about $115
A little cheaper (and a little less fine on detail work) is the Paasche Talon. A real nice set costs about $90
also at chicago air brush. A google search on any of these may save you a few bucks. And, some can be had for less, if you’re lucky, on ebay.
