Art Across Time
Where can I find indie tattoo/art?
So I want to get a tattoo of an owl somewhere on me… haven’t decided lol
Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew of any good artists or websites that had different art (not specifically owls) but just any indie style art to give me an idea for tattoos and so I can show them to the artist so they’ll know what I want…
I seem to have a hard time getting my point across.
Andrew brandou and Fawn Gehweiler ( think that’s how her last name is spelled, google will correct it) make some good art. As for “indie” , man, just get something you honestly like yourself. Trends come and go. Im sure the people and things you consider “indie” don’t classify themselves as that. Be yourself . If you’re not sure what you want, i think that’s a BIG red flag that you’re not ready to get a tattoo. There’s no rush, tattoo shops have been around since the 20′s/30′s and they’ll still be around by the time you make your choice. It’s better to come up with something original and uniquely you then to be stuck with something that you thought was cool for a while and are then stuck with for the rest of your life or paying large amounts of money to remove. Not to mention its more painful than the tattoo itself. Tattoos people get often relate to personal experiances, things you liked in childhood, etc. It’s much more special when it’s something personal to you rather then going to the place having the artist whip out a book and you pick that nice heart with the dagger going through it that says mom. I don’t know that’s just my opinion. I don’t think it necessarily has to have a story behind it but to make it your own i think is nice.
